Sylvia MacLennan
Sylvia joined Inksters in 2013. She is a Solicitor and Notary Public.
Sylvia obtained her Law Degree and Diploma in Legal Practice from Dundee University, winning the overall prize in her Diploma Year for Criminal Advocacy.
Sylvia qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and worked with a rural mixed practice firm in Wick, developing her interest in both civil and criminal court work. From there she set up practice in Wick with her husband in 2004 until 2012 when her husband left private practice and she joined Inksters a few months later to set up and run the Wick office.
Sylvia is the Dean of the Faculty of Procurators in Caithness and organises training events and seminars for the other local solicitors in Caithness. Sylvia has arranged a number of visits to the Court house in Wick for local school children and spoken to them regarding the workings of the justice system in Scotland. Sylvia has also previously worked closely with Caithness and Sutherland Womens’ Aid and the RNLI in Wick, regularly fundraising for both causes in the past.
When she is not at work Sylvia has her other job of Mum to two young children to attend to. She enjoys cooking and baking at home as well as her other interests of music and writing.
